Registration is now open for ASID 2026. Below you will find information on ticket types, prices and how to register.
Register for the ASID 2026 Conference
The conference includes an exciting line up of keynote speakers, and sessions on:
- Accounts of lived experiences or projects led by people with intellectual disabilities.
- Reflections of service models relevant to people with intellectual disabilities.
- Original research/valuations relevant to people with intellectual disabilities.
- Commentary about policies, issues or advocacy relevant to people with intellectual disabilities.
The ASID conference provides an opportunity for researchers, policymakers, service providers, practitioners, families and carers, and people with intellectual disability to come together and learn from each other specifically about supporting people with intellectual disability well.
Registration types & fees
All prices quoted in NZD and are inclusive of 15% GST.

Things to remember:
- If you select a Student Registration type you will be asked to provide details of where you are studying
- If you select a Concession Registration type you will be asked to provide details of the type of concession card you have
- If you select a Support Person Registration type you will need to provide details of who you are supporting onsite (the person you are supporting must also be registered to attend the conference).
Registration inclusions
Please note all persons onsite must be registered to attend the event. That includes all support workers.

Day registration holders can purchase a ticket to the Networking Function (Monday, 19 October 2026) during the registration process.
Support Person Registration Types
- Entry to all conference sessions and breakouts
- Access to the exhibition
- Lunch, morning and afternoon tea each day

How to register
Click the “Register online here” button above or HERE.
Complete the online form
Step 1: Choose if you are buying 1 ticket or a group of tickets
Step 2: Fill in your details (your name, email, etc.). Make sure all information is correct
Step 3: Select your membership type. You’ll need to tell us if you are an ASID member or not.
Step 4: Choose Your Registration Type (full registration, day registration, student registration, concession registration or support person registration)
Step 5: Tell us if you will attend the welcome reception and the conference dinner.
Step 6: Book accommodation at Mercure Sydney if you want to. You can skip this step if you are going to make your own arrangements
Step 7: Pay the registration fee. You can pay by credit card or by bank transfer
Step 8: Check your email. When you’ve completed the form you’ll receive an email with all the details.
Things to remember when you register:
- If you are a student and want a student ticket, you will need to tell us your university or school name
- If you are a concession card holder and want to get a concession ticket at a cheaper price, you’ll need to tell us which concession card you have
- Payment methods accepted are credit cards or EFT transfers.
- If you choose to pay via EFT, payment details are located on the tax invoice you’ll be emailed.
- You must pay for your ticket at least 14 days prior to conference. If you don’t pay by the cutoff date, your ticket may be cancelled.
