Program Information
Below you’ll find details about the 3 day conference program, featuring international keynote presentations and a number of breakout sessions.
The ASID 2025 conference will have:
- Presentations by international keyntoe speakers
- Breakout sessions on key topics like employment, health, criminal justice, parenting, housing and support, decision making and building inclusive communities.
Attendees will hear about new ideas, learn from research, discuss contested policy issues, and share fresh thoughts. Everyone will leave with new ideas and connections to make a positive difference.
If you would like to present at the ASID 2025 Conference you can submit an abstract (a short paragraph explaining what you would like to present). For more details on abstract submission and presenting at the conference VISIT HERE.
Meet the keynote speakers
The following international experts will participate in the conference program:
Professor Jan Tøssebro is from Norway and studies how policies (rules and plans) affect people with intellectual disabilities. He focuses on making sure people live in homes, go to school, and have support in ways that include everyone.
Professor Kylie Gray from the University of Birmingham focuses on diagnosis, assessment tools, and supporting the mental health of children and families with intellectual disabilities.
